If you’ve arrived at this place, you might be wondering if relationships are supposed to be so hard. Maybe you find yourselves having the same fight over and over or can’t seem to effectively communicate no matter how much you try. Perhaps there’s been a betrayal, or you feel disconnected and miss the passion you once shared. Whatever your struggles, it takes courage to reach out for help when it feels like your partnership is in trouble. I’m so glad you’re here.

Relationships are an important part of our lives and profoundly impact our well-being. This is especially true in love relationships where we deeply long for our partner to fully see and cherish us for who we truly are. Creating a secure, loving, and passionate relationship is possible, but it takes effort. The beauty of couples therapy is that it helps you not only overcome challenges, but also allows you to grow as individuals and as partners, empowering you to build a stronger, more connected, and more resilient relationship.

I offer couples a supportive and caring space where we can explore the challenges, needs and desires that partnership brings. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and lighthearted at times, reflecting my commitment that therapy be a safe environment where you both feel seen and understood. I’ll take an active role in helping you explore the underlying dynamics that may be impacting your relationship, which can lead to new insights that transform how you relate. As we work on your challenges, we’ll also build upon the strengths your partnership already contains, helping you bring out the best, instead of the worst, in one another.

Background

I became a therapist because I believe in the transformative potential of therapy based on my own journey of discovery and growth. I bring many decades of life experience and a fierce dedication to my work with couples as I know first-hand how painful it is when things aren’t working with the person you love.

Previously, I had a career as a communications professional in the entertainment and technology industries. However, over time, I realized that there was something calling me to make a change. My passion for yoga led me to start teaching the practice, deepening my respect for the body’s natural intelligence and the interconnection of mind, body, and heart/spirit. This inspired me to become a psychotherapist and continues to inform my holistic approach to well-being.

Training & Education

I hold a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) where I studied East-West and mind-body approaches to psychotherapy, and a bachelor’s degree in communications from UCLA. I have specialized training in EFT: Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, Love Made Simple Couple Therapy, Hakomi mindful somatic therapy, and Parts Work-oriented approaches (similar to IFS: Internal Family Systems).

In my free time…

I’m dedicated yoga practitioner and amateur iPhone photographer who loves hiking in the hills at sunset. I’m also an aspiring cook and spicy food enthusiast looking for the right balance between hot and too hot!
